Eye care
The skin around the eyes is very thin, four times thinner than the skin of the face.
Expression lines and dryness wrinkles appear very early in this area around the eyes, as there is hardly any sub-fatty tissue around the lower eyelids.
Water is often deposited in the loose connective tissue, which leads to puffy eyes. Eye care products have been specially developed for this sensitive area around the eyes to prevent and minimize wrinkles.
The skin around the eye area is finer and thinner, so the molecular structure of eye care is smaller to allow the cream or gel to penetrate deep into the skin. A day or night cream is not suitable for eye care. The molecular structure is larger, moreover, eye creams contain other, special active ingredients against wrinkles and the active ingredients are somewhat more concentrated.
Gels are used for puffy eyelids and bags under the eyes. Eye creams containing lipids are said to help with dryness wrinkles.
Tip: Apply the eye cream with your ring finger and in circular motions. Use the ring finger to apply exactly the right amount of pressure, which should not be too strong. Then apply the eye cream from the outside to the inside, thus stroking against the direction of the wrinkles. This also helps to minimize wrinkles.
Eye cream: Eye creams are richer and provide your skin not only with moisture, but also with oil. Eye creams are particularly suitable for dry and mature skin due to their high density of active ingredients and the fat content they contain.
Eye gel: Do you suffer from puffy eyes, redness or dark circles? Eye gels can help. Eye gels often contain cooling components and have a decongestant effect. Eye gels are usually oil-free, have a wonderfully refreshing effect and are therefore very soothing, especially in the morning.
Both are possible: the skin regenerates overnight. If you want to specifically combat wrinkles and achieve an anti-aging effect, use an eye cream in the evening. For a freshness kick in the morning and for puffy eyes, an eye gel is wonderful.
